With members from over 70 countries, The Photographic Society of America (PSA), is a world-wide organization for anyone interested in photography. Founded in 1934, the organization welcomes casual shutterbugs, serious amateurs and professional photographers.  Sun Lakes Camera Club has been a PSA member since 2008.

Individual and photography club memberships are $45 per year for a digital membership. Included in membership are: a monthly digital magazine, online photo galleries, image evaluation, study groups, courses, and competitions. The organization also recognizes photographic achievement and service of its members, and discounts on photography-related products and services.

PSA is known for the establishment and implementation of a set of standards for the conduct of International Exhibitions of Photography (PSA-recognized exhibitions). Clubs may compete in PSA club competitions and individual members may compete in individual events.
